Millions of Youths in Africa face risks of slowing progress and/or poverty in terms of jobs quality and productive opportunities.
This results in the worrisome status of Africa as the global poverty capital; and concomitant high prevalence rate of crimes and criminality, including mass murders, insurgency, militancy, armed robbery, kidnappings and drug abuse, among others.
The lack of work affects the mental and psychological wellbeing of a large percentage of Africans. Many young people have given up hope and some have committed suicide, leaving their families devastated.
I’M NOT IDLE (INI) exists to establish partnership with governments, private sector, and international donors; to urgently reverse this trend through dedicated efforts in the local communities.
